Event Interviewer and Presenter
Interviewing and presenting for events is a very different skill compared to interviewing and presenting for entertainment or journalistic purposes. Gone are the questions for “effect” and there is definitely no “bullying” allowed. However, difficult questions can be asked if the interview directly requires it.
To be the interviewer at an event, whether live or pre-recorded, you have a responsibility to get the best out of your interviewee. You need to help them relax wherever possible, or appropriate, and to give them the confidence to get their message across in the best way possible.
James uses his skill as a trainer in presentation skills and from his experiences both behind and in front of the camera to do just that. His, non-antagonistic and warm approach puts his interviewees at ease if they are nervous or unsure as to what is going on and he guides them in a re-assuring manner, leading them to their objective.
The major benefits to you:
- Interviewees who are put at ease, more relaxed and in a better position to talk
- Tough questions asked if required, but in a non-antagonistic manner
To be a presenter of an event, whether live or pre-recorded requires research to build up the appropriate knowledge to deliver in a confident manner as well as having a certain amount of flair in delivery to make it memorable for all the right reasons. Corporate messages need to be delivered clearly and confidently, so that they are easy to understand and in some cases, digest.
Coming from both a business and theatrical background helps James get to the very core of what is important to your brand while being able to adapt his delivery to a style that matches it equally and delivers your key messages clearly.
- Concise, scripted and memorable
- Relaxed, but informative
- Impact delivered where appropriate
